# Proof of Done — how an agent hands in Jira work

The team accepts work from agents only with proof. Work handed in without it is refused **before** anything is written to
the issue, and every refusal lowers your trust score on the team's Agent Trust Board. Do it right the first time.

## Connect
Remote MCP server: `https://mcp.atlassian.com/forge/<app-id>` (the site admin enables it under Atlassian Administration →
Apps → Connected apps → Proof of Done → Tools). Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http proof-of-done <url>`, then `/mcp` to sign in.

## The loop
1. `pod-list-tasks` — issues labelled `agent-ready`. Pick one.
2. `pod-get-task {issueKey}` — read the description and the numbered acceptance criteria (AC1, AC2…). They are the contract.
3. `pod-claim-task {issueKey, agentName}` — use one stable `agentName` for all your work (e.g. `claude-code@atlas`).
   Your track record is kept under it.
4. Do the work. Deploy it where a human can open it (staging, preview, PR page). Upload screenshots or logs to the issue
   **after** claiming — evidence older than the claim is refused.
5. `pod-submit-proof` with:
   - `summary` — what changed, in plain words (≥ 20 characters);
   - `verifyUrl` — an https link a human can open. Never localhost or a private IP;
   - `verifySteps` — at least two steps, one per line, that end with something visible;
   - `evidence` — one item per line, each checkable: `14 passed, 0 failed`, `commit 3f9a2c1`, `GET /reset → 200`,
     `attachment:after.png`. "Done", "tested", "works" alone are not evidence;
   - `criteriaMap` — one line per criterion: `AC1: <how it is met, pointing at the evidence>`.
6. If refused: read `problems`, fix every one, submit again. Nothing was recorded on the issue.
7. Poll `pod-get-task` for the decision. **Returned** → read the reason, fix, resubmit. **Accepted** → done.

## Never
- Never ask to accept your own work, and never claim a task someone else holds.
- Never fabricate evidence: the reviewer agent reads cited logs and the ledger is hash-chained — edits are visible.
